It was horribly damp, it was depressingly dull, it was bone-chillingly cold.  Did the weather for our No Sleep 'Til Christmas Fair put anyone off?  Apparently not!

We're enormously grateful to everyone who hauled themselves out of their cosy homes to visit The Vintage Village for some good old-fashioned Christmas treats, and to cast their appraising eyes round the new Room at the Top Vintage Goods emporium right opposite the market hall.

The response was, fortunately and gratifyingly, fantastic!  And everyone loved the photo gallery of stylish Vintage Village visitors which adorns the staircase.  Well, nearly everyone!

I hope you took advantage of the 10% off everything deal for Vintage Village visitors to celebrate its opening day.  Even if you missed out this time, you can visit the Room at the Top upstairs at the Produce Hall, Stockport Market Place, on every market day - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - from 10 until 4.

It's even open next Saturday - Christmas Eve - and rumour has it that mince pies and festive refreshments might be on the cards . . .

We were so busy we forgot to take photos - precisely none from Alan, the same big fat zero from usually keen snapper Kat, and only a handful from me, which you can see here on Facebook.

Fortunately our visitors were much more diligent, contributing a prime selection of shots for this month's Visitors' Gallery - one of the best yet!

If we're talking superlatives, and I think we are, our Finder this month did a truly stupendous job!  Hurry on over to check out Helen Munn's mega-terrific Finds of the Fair.  We'll still be here when you get back.

Back now?  Promise you had a look at Helen's Finds?  Super!

Now here's some more essential links you just have to nip across to because we've had some very lovely blog attention!:

★  Debuting stallies Sesame and Lilly made a big impact on everyone with their exquisite wares, and they've written about their experiences of the day which you can enjoy here.

★  Old Fashioned Susie stopped by, and it's always a pleasure to see her, not least because she's always so beautifully dressed.  If you're a regular reader you'll know she was our Finder in July, but you might not know she's also developing what is already an essential information resource for vintage fiends in Greater Manchester - Vintage Manchester.  A very busy lady, but she found time to share some thoughts about our fair here.

★  House 49 visited our November fair, but has only just posted about it.  And it's a goodie!  Go and see!

Last thing, and a very special thing too: Vicky Sowerby, who presented such a fabulous array of Finds in October, is featured in the latest issue of Company magazine.  We've scanned it for you to enjoy here.  Our effusive congratulations to Vicky for excelling at her fund-raising challenge, and our thanks for the kind mention too!

Now we're turning our attention to the next Vintage Village on Sunday January 8th, precisely one week after New Year's Day!

Save your Christmas spends because we're planning some unmissable bargains.  More details coming soon!

Happy Christmas and a very Merry New Year to you all! x
