Visitors' Gallery September 2013

A splendid time was had by all at our Third Birthday Bash fair, celebrating the fact that we'd manage to survive for three whole years.  I know, we can't believe it either.

We had Ace Tone Revival playing a couple of storming sets of 60s-70s pop classics, cocktails from Kegs & Co served from their specially sourced vintage cocktail bar - did you indulge?  Blimey, they were potent!

And we were subjected to a friendly ambush involving a hearty rendition of Happy Birthday, hip-hip-hoorays and an amazing birthday cake created by Stuart Thornley Cake Design.  That cake lasted literally minutes as we shared it round the market hall.  Apologies to anyone who missed out on a piece, and a HUGE thank you to those lovely people who organised the surprise (you know who you are!)

There was also the chance for everyone to vote for their favourite Vintage Village traders in our VV Visitors' Award for Traders poll, with voting forms given out at the doors.  We gathered just over 50 completed voting forms, which made us realise that maybe getting 500 printed was a bit optimistic!  Nevertheless, thank you to everyone who took the time to submit their voting form and you can still vote online here until the end of September.

Of course, the main event of the day was all that prime vintage just waiting to be snapped up by our discerning visitors, and you can see some of their prize buys here, with a few views around the fair too.

Click on the photos to see their original source, and click on the Twitter names to meet some of these stylish and tasteful attendees.

As ever, we're thrilled to see your photos, and thanks to everyone who shared them online.

If you'd like to contribute to our next Visitors' Gallery, just post your photo @Vintage_Village (remember the underscore!) on Twitter, or on our Facebook page.

"This months treasure from the Vintage Village at Stockport Market Hall and back as a stall holder:- Jodi Jo Retro which gave me more time to wander off and buy even more treasure. But I need slapped legs as I omitted to write down names of the stalls I purchased from .... Tut. Green fabric from Alan's Room At The Top [editor: Village Vintage Clothing], Yellow bark cloth from Snygg , a great Pyrex swappsie with the lovely Beth from Plot 61a, much needed lipslick from Bathing Beauty and cards from Ophelia Button. The crochet mats , embroidery stencils and gorgeous embroidered pictures are from the unknown stall holders.
I had a fabulous day and very happy to be back."
